Expanding the FN 509 family, the FN 509® Tactical is a versatile powerhouse. It incorporates the notable design enhancements found in the FN 509 while still remaining based on FN’s submission handgun as tested by the U.S. Army for its Modular Handgun Trials. With its U.S. Patent No. 10/352,654 Low-Profile Optics Mounting SystemTM, fn 509 tactical, f n tactical, the pistol can accommodate over ten commercially available miniature red dot (MRD) optics, matching the suppressor-height night sights. This versatility allows you to easily upgrade to accommodate new optic releases without requiring the slide to be directly milled.

When using a slide cap without an optic, the slide cap features elevated sight wings that guard the alignment of the iron sight if the pistol is dropped or jolted. It also features a textured ramp that allows the slide to be racked against a boot, pant pocket, or belt loop. To finish the top end, there is a 4.5-inch cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel with an FN signature, a target crown, ½” x 28 threads that accommodate most 9mm suppressors on the market, and a thread cap with an incorporated O-ring to prevent loosening during usage. The 24-round magazines enhance ammo capacity without sacrificing the convenience of carry because they are almost the same length as the pistol’s slide, ensuring precision and confidence in every shot.
